Just a note: anyone in the St Louis area, I'll be at the Casino Queen for the BACA National Conference thursday, friday, and saturday. I already have tentative plans to meet up with fistful at some point... any other folks interested?

I'm pretty sure that it's the IL side...

I'll be busy during the days (Board of Director's meeting: as a state rep, I have to be there). and I'll be doing security on a couple nights. But there's no reason a bite to eat couldn't be found... Wink

So... what does everybody think of the idea of dinner (maybe friday night) at the Casino Queen? Make for an easy get-together.

And Bogie... might want to introduce you to a couple of our merchandise folks... give you some more business...

I'll PM my phone # to anybody interested...

Well, I'll be there... And I'll see if I can whip up a few freebie stickies for BACA, since it's a pretty darn noble cause.

That, and they'll make nice teasers...

Strings, trust me. There aren't any restaurants outside the casino complex that you'd want to go to on the east side.

And on the St. Louis side, well, pretty much all the restaurants serve alcohol. You'd probably have to drive about 8-10 miles to find a Denny's...

Um, there's this place in St. Charles.   laugh  If you've been keeping up with that little news item.

I really don't want to make things hard on anybody.  The only thing I can suggest is that you guys go ahead and plan on the Casino Queen.  I'll let you know if I'm going to be there or not.  I'm actually going to be off that Friday, and on through til Monday, so my schedule is open.  Heck, my stitches are supposed to come out about then, so why don't you bring all those tools you mentioned, Strings?  I'll get all liquored up and let you go to work.

Bogie, bring a video camera: youtube is just DYING for vid of fistful all liquored up... Cheesy

Actually, there's a good reason to have dinner at the Casino Queen, Bogie: you bring a couple samples of what you can do, and you'll be showing them amid 600 or so people that might want to order. PM me your email address, and I'll send you the necessary graphics... Wink

Strings:

Drifting the thread, but this looks like the most appropriate spot. Until recently, your posts here represented my only exposure to BACA. Then, last week, while using the DFW TRE for the first time to get home, I met some members of the Cross Timbers BACA Chapter taking a group of children to a Dallas Mavericks game. I had a pleasant conversation with some nice folks doing special work and put a face to the organization, so to speak.

So, if you happen to meet Blaze or Wildman, tell them Scott (the guy on the train) said hello.

Where was yous guys?  I came by around 7.45.  Looked around at the bars and stuff.  Wandered over to the "private party" area and was so informed.  Then left.

Catch ya next time, I guess.   undecided
