Prostate cancer and waist size

Interesting.  Men are most at risk for aggressive prostate cancer if their waist size is over 37 inches.  It may have something to do with cancer-causing hormones in fat cells.

Hmm...was at 38 for years, but this bike commuting has changed that.  I bought a pair of 34" waist cargo shorts last week, put them on and they promptly fell halfway down my butt.  I can fit both fists in the waistband easily.  Haven't measured them, so they may have shrunk up a bit in the wash since then, but normally 34" anything would be "suck the gut hard and button it quick" even before shrinking.  36" waist Wrangler cowboy cut used to almost have the skin tight look going, but now they have to be hitched up every couple of steps until I find my belt.

Yeah, but it sucks to die by something you had some control over just because you were too sorry to put the fork down once in a while.

I watched an old man *expletive deleted*it himself to death for a year over prostate cancer.
I suggest investigating other options.

I'd say if that the obese (probably formerly so now) in Venezuela are realizing those health benefits right now.
I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case, you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought

Or maybe fat people don't get laid as much.

Perhaps that ought to take that problem in hand.  Or maybe a trip to Nevada and spend part of their HSA on "prostate therapy" with a prostate health facilitator.

A theory: prostate cancer is aggravated by low testosterone levels, which is also known to cause weight gain and fat deposition in men.
Maybe a rare occurence, but then you only have to get murdered once to ruin your whole day.
