Or pretty darn close to free.  Interesting, however, that after you graduate, it is another trick entirely for a foreigner to find a job in Germany.

Yep. If you're not EU (or Albanian or Turkish), good luck getting a job. Still, yeah. Germany has basically the strongest economy in all of Europe. I'm not exactly shocked that their socialism is more efficient and productive than most.
