Tagg Romney v. Obama
« on: October 18, 2012, 10:54:28 AM »
A reporter asked Mitt's son what he thought of the President calling his dad a liar.  He responded by saying:

Quote
Jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the stage and take a swing at him,” Tagg said, laughing. “But you know you can’t do that because, well, first because there’s a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because that’s the nature of the process.

Probably not the best thing to say, but he clearly meant it as a joke.  I am not aware of Tagg having a violent history, nor do I believe that he has assaulted any other President, so I doubt he was much of a risk.  This has become a 'big deal', with some suggesting that there are racial implications:

I know that words mean things, but is this really that big of a deal.

Call my dad a liar?

I'm not gonna care what color you are.

Let's take this outside, like gentlemen.

It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Dude, it's The Atlantic. They've been working harder than Daily Kos to make things a "big deal" for no damn reason.

What's with the names? Mitt? Tagg?

Well, I guess it's better than Trig.

You'd think the family members would be rather strictly warned against saying anything to the press. The risks far outweigh any benefits. Besides, it preserves the "leave family out of it" defense, in case they attack a family member for some other alleged misdeed.

Or Barack . . . or Travon . . . or Tawana . . . or Whoopie . . .

I don't know where the Obamas came by that name, but it is Biblical.

Lying is just a sublimated form of aggression.

The liars are trying very hard to make us not understand that.
