And here in Washington, the Republican candidates for governor and attorney general seem to be losing. About 40% of the votes remain to be counted, but it looks unlikely that they will make up the deficit. Close races, though. Gay marriage, legalization of marijuana and charter schools all seem to be winning, which is consistent with the state's centrist/libertarian bent. The latest numbers are showing about 54% Obama and 45% Romney, which is also pretty close to how Oregon and California voted.
I will watch with interest our new Democratic governor. I have personal experience with him when he was a plaintiff personal injury attorney over by Yakima doing medmal cases. I was not that impressed.
