Actor Michael Clarke Duncan has died.
« on: September 03, 2012, 06:00:21 PM »
Actor Michael Clarke Duncan has died after ongoing treatment for a heart attack he suffered in July .  You might remember him as playing John Coffey, a convicted murderer in the movie "The Green Mile", with Tom Hanks.  He was a favorite actor of mine.  I first really became aware of him when he played the entertaining character Franklin 'Frankie Figs' Figueroa in "The Whole Nine Yards", opposite Bruce Willis and Amanda Peet.
Link to a story about his death.

Aw man.  =(
I saw him in Sin City, Armageddon, and a brief uncredited first appearance in Friday.

His last role, as Walters sidekick in The Finder was great. He's always been one of my favorite actors.

Dammit! I loved that guy.

And yeah, The Finder was a great show. Hated to see it go.

Heard it on the radio as I was parking in the driveway, only minutes ago.

He was one of my favorites.

Green Mile.  Armageddon.  Whole Nine Yards.  Even the cheesy "Finder" series.

Gonna miss him.

Not real thrilled with his support for PETA, but he was a helluva good character actor.  RIP

Wow - this completely sucks.

He is one of my favorites for is size, strength, and his deep voice.

He was great in Green Mile and the Scorpion King.

He seemed, by appearances, to be quite a healthy guy. Not that that really means anything. What a shame. He did voice work in a lot of kiddo's older movie collection.

Interesting. He struck me as the carnivorous sort.

RIP either way. Damn fine actor.

He was one of my favorite's too. Loved his voice. The Green Mile will always be one of my favorite movies.

Sad day. And he was so young.
