Dresser stuck shut
« on: January 25, 2017, 09:22:07 PM »
Need help....
Son's dresser is the childproof type that only allows one drawer to open at a time, but none will open. Any non-destructive way to get this thing open?

Is there anything breakable in it?

If not, tip it over on its back, then from a few inches, drop it on the floor.

If you can, do the same thing on its front.

That may jar the mechanism loose.

When you tip it over, you can also check underneath to see if you can gain access to the lock mechanism.

Good idea on the tip over, you might find there that the dresser has a fiberboard back, easily removed.
