https://www.dailywire.com/news/30648/its-official-campaign-against-laura-ingraham-was-james-barrett
Remember when Laura Ingraham was going to be blown off her perch at Fox News by the relentless outrage of leftwing activists who vowed to wipe out her advertiser base for poking fun at David Hogg getting rejected by some universities?
Yeah, that didn't really happen. In fact, if anything, Ingraham has only gotten more popular, seeing a 20% surge in viewers following the advertiser boycott and, this week, winning the prime time ratings battle.
Meanwhile, a one-time local TV news reporter, turned morning radio talker and evening TV host, hasn't fared so well. He made some kind of remark about David Hogg's nether regions, and a red-hot poker. I haven't heard or seen the comment, so I don't know exactly what was said. It was characterized as being a threat of sexual assault, which I suspect is a bit overblown.

He lost the radio and TV gig, both.

A bit overblown?
It's historical!
That's how Edward II of England alleged was murdered...
-
Regarding the red hot poker thing: Why would you even say that or put something like that out there? That seems to be just asking for backlash.

It's not an uncommon thing for people to talk about. Probably not something you should say about a minor, in a public setting.

You’re just too young to get the joke.
Among other references, Edward II was said to have been executed that way.

They wanted to avoid externanally visible wounds.
Yes, that was on purpose.

So what was the joke exactly? Or maybe what was the original joke?
I don't really think it is something to get fired over, but still not good. I have seen much worse things posted like leftists tweets directed at Dana Loesch.

Sounds to me like he was talking about slamming Hogg (verbally) on his show. Hence the reference to work (writing or doing research, I guess). But like I said, Hogg is a minor, so not a good idea.

I thought he was 18?

I thought he was 18?
Oh. Maybe so.

YOU MONSTER! DAVID HOGG IS AN ANGEL!!

My joke was that Hawkmoon was young.
Or rather, poking fun at him because he figured by 74 he was bound to have heard of the expression if it was a real thing.

Deleted.

Wishful thinking?

Well now I don't get the joke.

He turned 18 on April 12...the statements were made before that date.
