I have no personal investment in Donald Trump. He is a tool to punish the left and roll back their ill-gotten gains, no more and no less. If he succeeds even partially in those two things, then I'll consider his election a win....

This new philosophy has freed me of more emotional angst that I can describe. Literally nothing the left says or does matters to me anymore. I don't care about their tantrums. I don't care about their accusations. I don't care if they say Trump is lying. I don't care if Trump is lying.

They created this Frankenstein. They own it. I am free of all obligation. I will never play defense again. I will attack, attack, attack, attack using their own tactics against them until they learn their lesson.

I disagree. I care about their tantrums. Their tantrums are sweet music.

There aren't any rules anymore because the left only applies them one way. And in doing so, they've left what once was a civil compact between the two parties in smoldering ruins.

Given what I have seen of history, that civil compact must be a new thing.  '

On second thought, from more recent history, the compact must have been that liberals would attack Republicans with impunity and Republicans wouldn't say anything in response.  The liberals are more shrill now, but none of this is new.

Good for him. While I think it's important to be aware, informed, and preferably involved in politics, I don't think the extremely high levels of anger, angst, and animosity are very healthy for individuals or the country/political process as a whole.

To be honest though, he still sounds pretty angry & emotional and must have been an absolute mess before his enlightenment.
In the moral, catatonic stupor America finds itself in today it is only disagreement we seek, and the more virulent that disagreement, the better.

As they say, if you're not angry, you're not paying attention.

Every time a liberal/leftie/progessive has a tantrum, an angel gets his wings, another Trump voter is created.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.
