My guess is an O/U rifle/shotgun (Savage 24?) with cut off barrels and a pistol grip stuck on.  Not the screw to hold the stock on.

I think I've seen that gun before. It was featured in an article about homemade guns made by the Chechens, right? As to WHAT it is/used to be, I have no clue. I'd hate to use that thing though. It looks as if its only a round away from implanting some vital parts in your forehead.
