Ours won't eat it once it dries out.

But often they pull it out by the roots and just drop it.  I find clumps of it lying around the pasture in late summer.

We have a patch of the nasty stuff on one hillside.  I mowed most of it last fall, and this spring was really wet so some other stuff is now crowding it out a bit.
