I decided that if I want the XBox 360, something had to go, and I've not shot it in almost 2 years, so it was the one.
Sigh, I HATE selling guns. But I want an XBox 360 more.
-
I feel your pain. I had to sell off a good one to pay for my pharmacy school tuition deposit. Not a good day either.
-
Your call, but I decided long ago to never sell a gun to get computer related stuff.
-
Wish I would of known you had it up for sale. Did you sell it locally or on THR?
-
Sold it to a friend who expressed interest in it some time ago.
Selling it on THR isn't an option when I'm not a member.
I did discover that the keys provided for the "safety lock"...
Don't open the lock!

OMG worst decision ever.
ANY gun >>>> ANY game console...especially the 360.
Priorities, man!
-
Make up for it by buying Mobile Ops when it comes out:
-
"Priorities, man!"
Yep, priorities.
As I said, I've not shot the 10 in almost 2 years. Essentially it's taking up space in my gun cabinet. Not much sense in that when I can use it to liberate some money to buy something that I'll use far more often.
It's not as if this puts a dent in the number of guns that I own, either.
Let's see, getting rid of that one leaves me with... 30something handguns?
-
Hopefully it won't get resold at a hefty profit.

"Hopefully it won't get resold at a hefty profit."
Nope, I doubt if Mal is that crass.
He's a TRUE friend, not a money-grubbing wanker wannabe...

If you think that sucks,
In 1984 I sold a '72 Cuda 304 4-bbl (WITH FACTORY A/C!!!!) for $2500 to finance my home PC with a ripping 30 Megabite Hard Disk.
My reasoning at the time was that I'd make soooo much money with that computer, I'd be able to buy a dozen Cudas if I wanted them.
YAK.
Still makes me ill to think how stupid I was in my youth.

"Still makes me ill to think how stupid I was in my youth."
You had unrealistic expectations based on thinking you were going to leverage the proceeds from the car into substantial financial gains.
I have no such expectations.
The 10mm was bought as an amusement. I never carried it, I used it to shoot bowling pins a number of times.
I have no expectations of the XBox 360 other than amusement.
In other words, I have the exact same expectations from both devices, and knowing how much I play my current XBox, I have the reasonable expectation of deriving more pleasure from the game console than I have from the 10mm.

Sold a gun to buy an XBox?
You're such a nerd Mike Irwin!
For the guys that are bitching at you for selling a gun to by a video game system... It's Mike's gun, he can do with whatever he wants to do with it.
-
I see your situation better now. I have one handgun. You have 30. Your situation is much different than mine.
You may be forgiven.
-
If anyone else here is thinking about getting rid of a 10MM firearm then please let me know first;)
-
"You may be forgiven."
Thank you, sir. Oh thank you thank you thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou...

None of my business, but why aren't you a member of THR, Mike?
