My monitor is making little electronic buzzing noises. Not constant, just random little "zzzt" ... "zzt" .............. "zzzzzzzt" type noises. No flickering screen associated with the noises.
Should I be expecting that I'm soon to be buying a new monitor?
-
You will know when to buy a new monitor when you turn yours on and it shocks you. >:D
I suspect something will happen .... but the when/what, I dunno. ? ???
-
Thanks for the encouraging words ... [ar15]

Not knowing a damn thing about monitor internals, my guess would be maybe. Almost sounds like a higher voltage electrical switch or loose wire acting up. Could go tomorrow or next year.

The NSA/KGB monitoring bug is malfunctioning, expect a late night, clandestine visit.

I will not buy this record. It is scratched.

Твоя мама носит боевые ботинки.

Probably dust causing mini-short circuits.

"My monitor is making little electronic buzzing noises."
Looks like you accidentally downloaded the bug zapper app for Windows 10.

I thought only people under 30 could hear that?
-
Thanks, Amy. I was about to suggest a high-resistance intermittent short due to dust or a dead bug. (Bug, as in insect.) Canned air might be worth a try.
-
If the LCD panel is CCFL lit the CCFL inverter will often make that noise before going out. If the monitor has a built in power inverter the same thing applies.

No no no... It's the bug's screams as they fry that only people under 30 can hear.

Over the years I've seen a LOT of small, dead bugs in monitors and TVs.

We used to call those "Daisy Dukes."
Are the performances on these circuits public or private?

Am I allowed to hijack my own thread?
Speaking of Daisy Duke, has anyone seen what Catherine Bach (Daisy) looks like today? Yikes!

Imagine if your sister became famous for decades 'n decades just for wearing panty-cut jeans in a TV show.

Not bad for being 65 years old.

She's 65? She could have gone full Michael Jackson on plastic surgery to (attempt to ) maintain the youthful Daisy Duke look.
Age changes everyone.

She could also have eaten a bit less.
I understand that age tends to change our bodies. I weigh more now than I did when she was playing Daisy Duke. But I'm not in show business, and my legs were never insured for a million dollars.
