Title: You wrote a faith-based book and want to read it to kids in our libraries?
Post by: K Frame on December 07, 2022, 09:09:27 AM
GTFO, HATER!

Write a kid's book celebrating transgenderism, same sex relations, sodomy, or other deviant practices?

How many times can you read it to the kids?

Kirk Cameron, TV star and well-known conservative Christian, has authored a kid's book celebrating faith, family, and Biblical wisdom... three things the left hates.

The reaction from over 50 public libraries when offering to share it via story-time?

Sorry, that messaging just doesn't align with our woke political agenda.

I am completely shocked by this.  Oh, wait...
I wonder about the legalities of this, considering most public libraries receive tax dollar funding of some sort.

I just read that. It's really extraordinary. The side talking about "fascists" are simply the biggest fascists on the planet.

Perrrrfect ...

Quote
Yet the same San Diego Library system actively hosts a number of "LGBTQIA events" that go beyond Pride Month, it notes on its website.

The library system "collaborates" with other organizations to provide resources. It also hosts a teen queer book club, its website says.

"Telling our stories, highlighting the rich diversity … Those themes that are so important of love, acceptance and inclusion and seeing yourself represented in the books that are reading," a library official said, according to the library's website.

"Highlighting the rich diversity ... "

As long as it's the Right Kind (tm) of diversity, that is.

Librarians are some of the biggest pro-censorship freaks in the country.  They pretend to be anti-censorship... while claiming they have the sole power to censor what goes in libraries, not the people who pay for the books.

There's some  truth in that. Growing up in Chicago, I learned which librarians at the local Chicago Public Library branch were OK, and which ones weren't. By the time I was halfway through grade school I had been routinely choosing and checking out books from the regular (i.e., adult) section of the library but there was ONE librarian who thought I should only be able to get books from the kid's section. (This was back in the 60s, so the libraries didn't have a porn section.)

I was well past Dr. Seuss by that time, but the bitch didn't think I should be allowed to read C.S.Forester, H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, or even Teddy Roosevelt.

So I had to wait until that nasty old harridan stepped away from the scanner to get my books. Ironically, my gut tells me that if she were still alive and working today, she'd probably be glad to let kids check out all the books encouraging deviant behavior the groomers are pushing.
