Indian spice lamb burgers

Made these a week or so ago. Damn they were tasty. Made a few deviations from the website. Used dried mint (1/3 the volume of fresh called for) and substituted agave nectar for honey as I was out of honey (and didn’t want to disturb the bees). Used Sriracha instead of “hot sauce”. Added a little ground beef as I didn’t have quite enough lamb for the triple batch I needed to make. Used oats in place of bread crumbs, and cut back to maybe 1/4 of the total called for. And used regular burger buns as it was what I had handy.
Everyone loved it, though Thing 1 said next time she’d pass on the yoghurt/mint sauce. Be interesting to try it with straight beef and see if still worked. But I should be getting the sheep raising going in a few months, so hopefully I’ll keep a steady supply of ground lamb.

Thanks, Looks to be worth trying.
We often have lamb burgers on the grill. Usually we mix some minced onion and garlic with the meat and top with blue cheese on a flame toasted bun or ciabatta.
