Muppets on Youtube

I'll forgive the ad-libbed lyrics, because Jim Henson's crew did a great job on this one:

Saw it yesterday, and laughed my head off.  About the only thing I would have changed - the Animal segment went on too long (though it ended well).  Otherwise, it was great!

I figured the Animal drum segment went on as long as it did to usurp the "Just killed a man/pulled my trigger now he's dead" portion of the lyrics.

My thoughts exactly.  Even as long as it was, still hilarious.  :)

According to what I read, that was done deliberately to keep the video family- and child- friendly. I have been a big Muppet fan for decades.

PS: it was a sad day for me when Jim Henson died.  But apparently, Disney is giving Brian Henson a free hand.

I've got a kid, does that make me a good old fashioned lover boy?

I usually don't admit it, but I was there in San Diego also. I was stationed at North Island at the time. A lot of good concerts came through San Diego those 3 years (75-78).

Did you see Skynyrd when they came through?

Yep them were the days of $5 tickets from the recreation center or whatever it was. Can't remember but I saw a LOT of those shows myself. I was on WESPAC part of 77 though. Queen was a rockin' band till they went all gay on us. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

This one isn't from ZZTop

Wow.  All I've ever heard is canned studio Queen.  Never seen a link from a live concert, or a video from one or anything.  The guy could definitely sing.

Didn't see Queen, but I did see Skynyrd in Santa Barbara circa '76 or '77...hmmmm...memory from that era kinda fuzzy for some reason...
