he, the guy in the first picture, was on the today show this morning. evidently, with a glide slope of 3:1 he feels he can land without a parachute (he actually was talking about jumping out of the plane without a chute). he is just looking for the proper landing strip. a long sloped surface like a ski jump landing ramp would be appropriate.
I wonder how his obituary will read after he tries that.

He wanted to make a splash in the world of skydiving.....instead, he made a splat......
If jet-boot-boy had one of them conk out mid-flight his terminal spin as the other jet drove him outta control would be a crowd-pleaser. Once.
Either that, or an engine fire.
That's not flying, that's falling with style.

Anyway, seems to me they'd generate a little more lift if they connected the arm wings to the legs, so that there was more surface area.
