+1 on the scratch & dent.  I worked for a Carrier distributor at one time, and many, many good units would come in stuck with a tow motor fork or something strictly cosmetic, worth several hundred dollars in discount to the consumer.

Best bet is find a fairly large HVAC installer, they'll probably have pretty good relationships with the Trane, Carrier, Lennox distributors, who may have just the ticket.
