one more reason to drive your car June 5th
« on: May 31, 2009, 06:31:44 PM »
Did you know there is an "Environment Day"?

Did you know that Cooper Motors cares about the environment?

http://www.miniusa.com/?eid=201&tid=701&deepLink=/play/letsNotMotor-m&pid=3003986#/play/letsNotMotor-m

Screw them - I'm going to check the auto rental places that cater to the financially deprived and see if there is a junker that spews oil and gulps gas.  If I'm lucky it will also leak several other fluids as well.  Driving that ought to help the environment!

stay safe.

My tires are too expensive for me to do that. So I'm going to compensate by setting a couple of old tires on fire once I get home.

I have to drive round-trip from Virginia Beach to Lake Gaston to see a "Custody Mediator" as part of the reindeer games required to get visitation with my son and a divorce.

Ok, that is an interesting confluence.  I'm driving an hour each way for an appointment that day.

The appointment is which my homebirth midwives--doesn't get much granola-crunchier, eco-conscious, hippier than that.  Except for the drive of course.  Although my Jeep died, so I won't leak any fluids and I'll get ~30 mpg instead of 12.

Fill the boat with water to increase the drag.

I'm going to fill up both cars with gas as well as my six 6 gallon gas cans for my pontoon, which I'll drive around for awhile.  Then I'll have a campfire on the lakeshore.

Start it with gas!

I don't have anywhere to go but I guess I'll start my car up and put a brick on the gas pedal.

Dick: any way to run both the bike AND the Mustang?

If there was someone around to help with it (I'm sure Spoon has to work), I'd have both cars AND both bikes going...

Tell me about it. I have Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 255 and 285's on the Mustang. That's about $1400 in rubber, and they're only good for 12,000 to 15,000 miles. But a small price to pay for ticking off lib's, don't you think?

Strings, if I took the door off the car, I could probably straddle the bike and put my foot on the accelerator of the car. I think I'll give it a try. ;)

I'll be driving to a training course with Louis Awerbuck, where I will return copious quantities of lead to the environment from whence it came.  Isn't that enviromentally friendly, restoring things take from the land?   =D

If you were closer I'd let you borrow one of my normal daily drivers =|
Maybe I'll wait till Friday to recharge the AC in my old Cherokee with my last remaining can of R-12 (faded walmart sicker price of $1.00).
Then I will cultivate my garden with my old 2-cycle mini-tiller.

I've got a few brushpiles to burn, I use my old used motor oil to get the fire burning, easiest way to "recycle" used motor oil I have found.

The site won't let you pledge 0.0 miles ("what would mother earth think of you"), but it does let you pledge 0.1 miles, which is what Mr. Jackov Enviro pledged. It then shows up in the "recent pledges" scroll as zero miles. Just sayin'.

Yeah, thats pretty stupid.

Their cars are really fun to drive though, and I'll probably still buy one.  I'll just have to run my old lawnmower overtime instead.
