Dannyboy:
Ezekiel could attempt to use fact to make his point, but the facts are not kind to his argument.  Hence, we have both accusations of naziism as well as misuse or misunderstanding of the words "semantics" and "oxymoron."

Truly, you are a ruthless man.

JFruser,
My people went through the Nazi horrors.  We understand suffering and breaking the human spirit through inhumane tortures.

Sing it with me, everybody was kung-fu fighting.....

You are one classy guy!
I have moments.

I merely vehemently disagree with our nation's ongoing "jack-booted thuggery" throughout the world.

Now that we are considering closing Gitmo, where are we going to put these "detainees"?  Back in the 1980s, with the Cubans, I think it was Leavenworth...

That appears to be in line with the heavy (and simplistic) Nationalist beliefs I've recently borne witness to.

(sigh)  Please, as if anyone was called a Nazi.  Metaphor appears to be lost on you.  Still, you must admit that a self-righteous belief that a nation can "kill" or "detain indefinitely" individuals without trial -- which a likely biased military "hearing" is not -- seems inherently draconian.

Misunderstanding of words?  "I'm sorry you're having that problem."

The first post was about unwarranted interrogation tactics using music.  Several posters continued in this light-hearted vein until someone decided to throw bombs and make all kinds of ridiculous claims using the usual slogans.  There's no arguing with someone so dead set on his view despite abundant evidence to the contrary, all nicely supplied by members here.
So, "knock three times on the ceiling if you want me.  Once on the pipe, if the answer is no."
