You know, that thing could have been placed originally for the local primates in the hope of greater things but then the Desert Bighorn came along and with their penchant for bashing heads together were able to vanquish the local soft skull primate population and most likely ate them thus leaving no fossil record. I think the present primates should steer well clear of the thing.

People are idiots*, there is little hope for mankind IMO. I am glad it is gone, the tracks and trails going to the site will be there for decades. Scars on the land in the desert do not go away easily.
