"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
I have grown up and lived my entire life in Texas and not all in Houston. Grew up mostly in a small town. Talk to me sometimes and tell me I don't have an accent.
This quiz is incredibly weak. It combines large groups of areas that do not have the same accent. "The South" combines quite a number of accents. The site creator must be a yankee.
I recent took a road trip through Arkansas, Mississippi, and Alabama, and I know people from Louisiana. Those states all have different accents. I really liked the Mississippi accent this one girl had. When listening to the radio in Alabama, the unique accent was obvious. I didn't notice much accent in Arkansas, but I didn't talk to many people there.
