Now, when a business gains attention for reports of racist conduct, Yelp will place a new Business Accused of Racist Behavior Alert on their Yelp page to inform users, along with a link to a news article where they can learn more. https://t.co/1K2bJ46uM8— Yelp (@Yelp) October 8, 2020
I’m guessing Yelp will be contacting flagged businesses with an offer, for a small fee of course, to remove the flag. pic.twitter.com/cmnG4ts86s— klarson (@kglarson) October 9, 2020
Raymond B18 minutes ago (edited)Yelp wrote a fake review of my business, then called 3 days after the review was made to ask if I would like to upgrade my account which would hide/remove the review. They denied the action and I was a new business at the time. When Apple decided to merge their safari search with Yelp...I was screwed. How I know it was fake- I'm the UK, they used American terminology to describe a fringe as a 'bang'- They accused me directly of coming on to them sexually - I cut men's hair only and this review claimed to be a woman, I'm a guy and I'm heterosexual and I would never act so unprofessionally.- They said they went to a local competitor to rectify my bad hair cut - the salon they mentioned is a high profile salon 40 miles away in the city. I tried to take action, they did nothing. I had 20-30 reviews all positive, filtered as Yelp defined them as not credible. YELP need to go. YELP need to be sued. Set it up Louis!
