Police say 900,000 in Krakow meadow for Pope Benedict's Mass

KRAKOW, Poland (AP) Pope Benedict XVI urged 900,000 singing, clapping Poles gathered in a rain-soaked field Sunday to share their faith with other countries in mostly secular Europe, saying it was the best way to honor their beloved John Paul II.

The enormous, exuberant crowd chanted "Benedetto! Benedetto!" and sang "Sto Lat," or "A Hundred Years," wishing him a long life...

280plus:
According to the announcer at Woodstock there was:

"100,000 of you ****ers out there. We're a CITY, man!"

Looks like the Pope wins...

K Frame:
Pope JP II supposedly said mass for nearly double that number on his first trip to Poland.

Whoa. Just found a reference to him saying mass for over 2 million in 2002.

Perd Hapley:
Gotta get up pretty early in the morning to beat John Paul 2.  That kind of charisma is why he was always on the short list for those trying to forecast the Anti-Christ.
