“Xenobot” Living Robots Can Reproduce

Quote
“These are frog cells replicating in a way that is very different from how frogs do it. No animal or plant known to science replicates in this way,” Harvard University synthetic biologist and roboticist Sam Kriegman, co-lead author on the PNAS paper describing the discovery, says in a press release from Harvard University’s Wyss Institute.
I am wondering why they call them robots at all.  Seems to me it is only extract frog cells doing something different than they expect.  The headline makes it sound like more than it is.  I wonder if someone needs funding.

Now let's give them some brain cells and teach them to play Frogger! :)

Endpoint?

I can't help but think of Kahn's "Oh sweet mystery of life" song in Young Fronkenshteen.
WHATEVER YOUR DEFINITION OF "INFRINGE " IS, YOU SHOULDN'T BE DOING IT.
