For anyone who is single, or just a couple, or doesn't eat a lot of bread (and who bakes bread in a dutch oven) I thought I'd give a heads up on a nicely sized dutch oven for that purpose. I bought this one about a year ago, and it's not just that it is smaller than my 5qt, but that it is a smaller diameter and higher walled than most of the other 3qt dutch ovens, so it will bake a nice, high loaf for sandwiches and stuff.
Otherwise, when I have baked smaller loaves in my big dutch oven (especially when incorporating rye flour, which rises less), I end up with like a 2.5-3" high loaf, which makes a pretty skinny sandwich. Four cups wheat flour and one cup rye flour result in a loaf just about the size of this dutch oven. You could probably do six cups, but that would max it out.
Anyway, I just pulled a loaf out of the oven a few minutes ago, and thought I would mention the dutch oven.

Sliced horizontally gives you a very wide sammich. Don't just think in the vertical plane. :P

Whoops. Deal's apparently dead. The gray are sold out.
The blue ones are $50, as are a couple other colors.
