German Glock carbine kit.
« on: March 05, 2022, 09:52:48 AM »
They've got them in Germany right now and looking to get them here in the states.
Company rep guesses price will be somewhere under 1K. Pricey perhaps but this appears to be very well thought out, better than anything I've seen yet.

I'll take one for a Glock 20 please.

There was a company selling Colt carbine conversions back in the 90's, so why not a Glock carbine.

There are several Glock pistol to carbine conversion kits on the market today but most IMHO are really kind of junky to so-so. This one looks to be way better.

Wonder if it will work with some of the off-brand frames, like Polymer 80.

With a shorter (~8-10") threaded barrel and a brace instead of a buttstock, it might interest me. The big question is - how reliable is it?

I have a Glock 22 but I'd rather have the carbine in 9mm.  I seem to recall the the Mech-Tech carbine system allowed you to use either a Glock 17 or 22 frame and switch calibers along with the appropriate magazines.  So I'd be interested in one of these things if I could just buy it and a bunch of 9mm magazines and use my G22 frame.

This new German kit seems to be a lot like the Mech Tech, though perhaps with more style.  I wonder if it is overly heavy as well.
