I ought to just develop some shorthand for quoting Dave Barry's, "I am not making this up..."
Picture this:
* Committed obamoid who hates pressing flesh or calling folks to drum up support for The One.
* Does a personal best 204 calls in one sitting, despite despising the action.
* Gets tattoo of the number, in blue ink, on the inside of their forearm, to commemorate the achievement.
Now, picture this:

That's why it was such a surprise the day I found my desire to win was stronger than my fear, and made 204 phone calls. I gritted my teeth every time I dialed. But I did it. So I got myself a souvenir, to remind me I can push myself further than I thought I could go.
Here you go, for the full story:

And a little commentary by a Jewish Democrat supporting McCain:
http://concerneddemocratsformccain.blogspot.com/2008/11/admittedly-this-may-be-jewish-thing.html
Admittedly, this may be a Jewish thing, but aren't you frightened of people tattoo-ing numbers on your forearm to memorialize your service to "The One"?

It's creepy, and it shows no knowledge of or respect for the Holocaust. No wisdom. No memory. No historical perspective.
God save us from these people. They're crazy.
-
I like tatoos, so I am not usually one to make fun of other people's choices, but that is just bizarre. I shudder to think of the Obama-inspired tatoos that people get if he wins.
-
People make odd choices.
It seems that this person doesn't understand the historical significants of a number tattooed on his arm; BUT it's not like he was forced to have it. It's a free choice a free man made. I don't think it's a good idea, a smart idea, or for the right reasons; but I support his right to do what he will with his body.
'nuff said.

They don't know the significance of anything they do, it seems.
Cute, silly poster seen in Albany, CA.

I sure recognized the original. I sold a Soviet magazine that featured it, Alexander Rodchenko. :P

I disagree. They know darn well what they are monkeying.
They are always in the middle of their journey.

Do you know what the Rodchenko poster says?

It says 'LENGIZ - BOOKS IN EVERY SPECIALTY OF KNOWLEDGE'.

Yes, I didn't know the exact translation, but I knew what it was for. Not just "a book publisher" in the definition you might think of. Lengiz was the Leningrad branch of the state publishing house.

Technically, there existed multiple publishing houses, all owned by the state, of course.
LENGIZ stands for Leningradskoe Gosudarstvennoye Isdatelstvo, I think.
Leningrad State Publishing.

When I saw the first poster I was thinking it looked like one of Franz Ferdinand album covers.

What a weirdo, he can do whatever he wants to his body, but I can think he's crazy for doing it. And why is calling people such a big deal? I don't get these people.

There are people for whom it is a huge effort.
Why do you think I work from home?

I call it "phone phobia." A buddy of mine had a bad case of it.

You are. Simply because you are LESS nuts than these wackos doesn't change the fact that you are rather nuts.
You're just MORE rational than these jokers.

Well, I didn't expect a personal attack from that statement. I'm sure if you researched my posts you'd find that although I may be opinionated, I am quite rational.

I am quite rational.
I'll toss that back at you next time you tinfoil insult BATF agents

BATFE agents are never above reproach from anyone. As I've said before, they are thugs without a conscience, addicted to power, with the ghosts of Prohibition barrel-smashers grinning over their shoulders.
Two words. Cavalry Arms.
And it just keeps the streets so safe for them to have decreed that a brand-new Steyr barrel had to be cut to chunks before it could come into the country with an STG-58 kit. Because we all know gangstas build, properly headspace and use vintage battle rifles...

Charlie Rangel leads a crowd in Obama worship, assuring them he will "save the United states," and "the entire world." "Who's our hero? Who do we love?"

And is there a final result of that yet?

I always knew I was crazy.
I'd rather be crazy and supporting individual liberty, rather than 'sane' and supporting socialism.

Final result? Yeah. The fact that there is no final result and no charges while a business that got gutshot by BATFE for "no charges yet filed" is struggling to stay alive with all that unlawful seizure of their inventory and even their business records on computers.
Tends to kill a business.

Well, I definitely agree that embalming as a form of mass punishment may be overreacting.

Ken,
I know you have or had a warm and fuzzy relationship with ATF or that's what I think your statements reflect. I'm sure the one's you've dealt with are probably pretty nice and personable guys/gals and that's good. I've also had my dealings with three of them on a professional level at one time or another out of the ANC office and they were okay guys. Which I think may have more to do with them actually wanting to be here rather than just taking an assignment because their fedpuke overlords sent them here.
However, that seems to be the exception rather than the rule. They still work for a rogue agency run by morons, unaccountable to no one and their rules are subjective and arbitrary without definition. I'm not giving them a pass.
And +1 on what Manedwolf said.
I'd rather be crazy and supporting individual liberty, rather than 'sane' and supporting socialism.
I guess that makes me nucking futz. =D

Use a smiley with that or something gets lost in the translation.
-
Double tap.
-
While not all BATFE agents may be jack booted thugs, the ones that are do the job well enough to more than make up for their angel hearted compatriots.
-
Yikes, somehow I see this presidency as the one where we'll actually have to use our so called assault weapons...sheesh.
-

QFT Have to be careful, otherwise they might temporarily ban you.

Sure and I'm not the only one that has noticed what that reads upside down.

Quite frankly, I've forgotton more about BATF agents, Federal Agents and Federal Law Enforcement over the past 25 years than you would ever know if you stayed a rural cop for the next 110 years.
While I personally think you are cool, and respect you as a fellow Alaskan, I think your consistent comments and "hardon" about the BATFE are immature, factually illfounded, tinfoilish and reflect badly on gun owners.

I don't doubt that a bit. I'm willing to bet that probably holds true even for urban cops too since municiple and even state police agencies have very little contact with feds unless they are assigned to a joint task force of some sort.
While I personally think you are cool, and respect you as a fellow Alaskan,...........
Thank you for sentiments. Likewise and right back at ya.
I think your consistent comments and "hardon" about the BATFE are immature, factually illfounded, tinfoilish and reflect badly on gun owners.
Perhaps it does come across like 60 grit sandpaper, but all I'm saying is I think that anyone who pins on a badge should be accountable and held to the same high standards of legal and ethical conduct in the carrying out of their duties, and the perception is that ATFE has not.
