Ted Nugent admits to poaching a black bear.

Interesting timing. Signed a plea deal, agreeing to a $10k fine and two years probation from hunting in Alaska.

Not the first time he's been caught poaching.  One of these days he's going to step over the line too far and get tagged with a felony.  Goodbye 2nd Amd. rights, Ted.
Hope he doesn't, though.  The Nuge can be a real hoot at times, fun to watch.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

As much as the guy is a "character" and I can like him, a lot of the time I feel rather nervous thinking that he & I are on the same side of the 2A iisue.  =|

Not knowing much about the guy, I've wondered for years if he is a liability to the cause. Due to a radio interview I heard with him on Friday, before the NRA meeting brouhaha, it seems obvious that he is. And now he's got a poaching problem?

For once, I'm in agreeance with fisty.

"Uncle Ted" is a loudmouthed jackwagon, and personally I don't think he's anything but a hinderance to the 2A community.  Makes us all look like mouthbreathing hicks.

Uncle Ted can be a hoot. But then, like a lot of Uncles, he can also be a real jackass.
That is all. *expletive deleted*ck you all, eat *expletive deleted*it, and die in a fire. I have considered writing here a long parting section dedicated to each poster, but I have decided, at length, against it. *expletive deleted*ck you all and Hail Satan.

I have read some things online suggesting that he is apparently a pedophile.  Oral sex from a 12 year old Courtney Love and other incidents.

Agreed.  Years ago when I worked at the Novi Expo Center, I saw him give a fiery speech at the Michigan Outdoorama.  While I agreed fundamentally with what he said, he made an ass of himself.

So, write the NRA, and demand that they get rid of him? (He's on their board, or something, right?)

Without evidence, this is painfully close to libel.  If you do have evidence, a trip to the prosecuter's office is in order.  In neither case is public posting appropriate.

Yes, I remember learning about this in law school.  ;/

Your legal tip of the day: it is hard to bring a libel case when the subject has admitted it in public.  Some Googling will produce the specifics.

pele massa?  was legal

courtney love? if true thats a problem  the other problem is believing ms love
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

Isn't there something about maliciousness, too? As in, the person has to KNOW it's not true for it to be libel; if they simply mistakenly believe something is true when it's not, then they aren't liable.

In most jurisdictions, that if you made a statement in good faith and in the reasonable belief that it was true, this would be a defense to a claim of defamation.  But the judge or jury would have to undertake an inquiry to see if your belief that it was a true statement was reasonable and grounded in reality.  If it wasn't, you could be held liable.

...the other problem is believing ms love
.  ain't that the truth.  has no bearing on the fact that Ted is as painfully out of touch as any other self aggrandizing, entitlement attituded, egomaniacal entertainer.

Only a dimebag's difference between him and ms love.
