If somebody far away wears blue jeans, who's culture is being appropriated?  I ask because as a melting pot it's never clear who is appropriating from who.  Also, I got a notice that my agency is "celebrating" (their word) LGBT month.  Am I allowed to celebrate the month even though I'm hetero or is it only the asexual agency that can celebrate?

Well, blue jeans are an American invention, but credited to Ashkenazi immigrants from two different countries. "Denim" comes from the French language.

I'm so confused right now.
