Firefox 2.0 released today
« on: October 24, 2006, 06:59:05 AM »
Just read that the newest version of Firefox will be released today.  Later in the day, apparently.  I know there are a few Firefox users here and I hadn't seen anything about this, so here ya go.

You can actually get it now at http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/2.0/win32/en-US/
You may want to hold off until your extensions of choice have updated to be compatible. Most of my favorite ones seem to be working OK in it already, Adblock specifically.

Already running it.  It's not bad.  The live spell check feature is nice.

I'll give it a month & then download & install it.

I like new & cool, but I like others to take the early-adopter lumps.

The version notes for v0.9.9.7 of dTa state it's fully functional with Firefox 2.0., I haven't tried it out myself.

Thanks Marnoot.

I'll probably do like jfruser though and wait a little while first before downloading the new version.
