Need to come up with a drinking game for this debate.

Tam posted one on her FB page.

Gennifer Flowers out, Mark Geist in. Awkward. :)

http://twitchy.com/dougp-3137/2016/09/26/gennifer-flowers-wont-be-there-but-this-debatenight-guest-of-trumps-might-be-even-more-awkward-for-hillary/

I'd lay odds that HRC has no clue who Geist is, and won't find out during the debate.  Net effect on her performance = 0.

No word yet on whether Diana Moon Glampers is now managing Hillary's campaign.

I'll leave this right here.

I can't find the official rules for the 2016 Presidential Debate Drinking Game.  Lots of different competing versions (some of them quite biased, like "take a shot whenever Trump says something racist", but nothing about Hillary lying.  Or coughing)

You take a drink every time a politician lies, and you'll die. If it's Hillary Clinton, you'll be dead before the debate's over.

Scott Adams has several new posts up about the debates and Trump's strategy. Remember that he was the only guy from way back when who thought Trump would win.

http://blog.dilbert.com/

He will also be live blogging the debates that start in twenty minutes.

2016 Presidential Debate Drinking Game rules:

Maybe I shouldn't have had a couple of shots first to get ready.   This could be dangerous.

But if could be worse, to make it 7 vs. 7 they could have added whenever Trump says "huge".

If they did that there would be a "huge" case of alcohol poisoning around the country tonight.

Looks like Trump didn't invite Jill Stein, either. Neither she nor Johnson made the cutoff to be in the debate. But then, neither did Harambe.

I have listened to a a bit of this debate.  I think this will be one of those debates where supporters will claim their own candidate won.  Unless someone knows about the contemporary history that is mentioned, I am not sure what people would think.

The moderator needs a switch to cut the mikes.

Agreed. Though I let it buffer for an hour before I started watching so I could hit the FF switch as needed, so I might have missed something.

I have no idea who the moderator is, but I'm catching a Hillary bias from him. Or more accurately, an anti-Trump bias. They're really hammering on the birther thing.

Yes. He interrupted Trump on the stop-and-frisk issue to say that it was found unconstitutional. He continuously pressed Trump on the birther issue, and on his tax returns. He didn't press Hillary on the emails, or any other issues.

I didn't watch. Drudge's poll is showing 81.5% think Trump won, and 18.5% think Hillary won. But I suppose drudge readers might be a tad biased.

Any objective assessments as to who won?

Insty calls it a draw:

Is it possible they BOTH lost?   I came away from the debate not wanting either candidate in the oval office.
I guess it's a bit heartening that Insty is calling it a draw and that Drudge  is saying Trump won.
Trump the Terrible was back from the primaries .... versus Hillary with her patronizing plastic smile.  Ick.

I would agree with a draw.

One thing I noticed was watching each candidate as the other spoke. Hillary looked smug, Trump looked annoyed. I thought he handled the birther and tax return stuff well, but flubbed his Iraq war position. He spent like 6-7 minutes being defensive. Made him look a bit weak, especially given that it was something that happened well before he was in politics, so his position either way as a regular citizen shouldn't be as big a deal as Hillary's, who was in politics and actually voted on it.

I was again disappointed the he agreed with Hillary on the guns / watch list issue.

I don't know why he didn't push the email and classified data issue more. He had several good openings. Overall,  I think he spent a little too much time on defense and not enough on offense.

EDIT: TommyGunn posted at the same time as me. I can almost agree with him - it was kind of a debate of, "which person is least bad?"  Also, if I did the drinking game, I guess I would have been dead from alcohol poisoning somewhere around the 25 minute mark. Maybe earlier given how many times Trump said "China".

I'm not objective, and I wasn't really paying much attention, but here's my opinion:  Lester Holt lost.

I think Hilary won, but not by much.  She looked good, and never stumbled or fell apart.  That's really all she had to do.  (I wanted her to have a seizure or forget where she was or something)

Trump got a few zingers in.  But I think he screwed-up bigtime by equating his tax returns with Hilary's emails.  He also IMHO should have made a distinction between cutting corporate tax rates and individual income taxes, especially on high-income individuals.  Clinton deliberately confused the two.  I think Trump also scored some points about blacks and Mexicans living in hell-holes like Chicago.

Yea....unfortunatly I don't think you're going to find a candidate who is going to try to argue that since it will sound like he's saying "it's OK with me if a Jihadi can walk into a Wal Mart and buy a Bushmaster M4orgery and shoot a bunch of people."  Now it ISN'T but the people Jay Leno interviewed in those man-on-the -street stuff on late nite TV will not see it.
I wouldn't mind the list itself if it were more accurate .... but mainly, when it comes to jihadis I don't want them on a list, I want them DEAD.
