Looks like they only did two movies -- Thing From Another World and The Big Sky, which is actually a damned good movie.
From what I can tell from a web search, Howard Hawks, the director and producer, formed the company. Here's the thing, though. His middle name was Winchester... It was a common middle name in his family.
So, I'm not so sure that Winchester the firearms company was involved...
