Just announced earlier today by his son Wolfgang.

Official cause of death has not been announced, but he was being treated for throat cancer.

Just spent the past hour listening to tributes and his music. RIP to one of the greatest guitarists.

With his manual dexterity, I bet he would have been a hell of a shooter...
