Perhaps I'm just too contrarian for my own good; I just am not finding any fun, anything interesting.

Maybe I should take a break and go have a life for a little while, and come back after the holidays?

Perhaps I should ban myself for a couple of weeks.

I wander in and out.

Normal ebb and flow to the forum.

Pretty slow in the news, people are busy with the holiday season.

If you are bored with the topics you should post some topics you are interested in, then we can all chime in in between fistfuls posts grin

This forum has become one of my favorite because it is so varied. On a given day you might see anything from a serious discussion of astrophysics to a thread on the finer points of Jello.

Every forum has it's slow periods or periods where folks are at each others' throats, but I don't think it's gone downhill or anything.

I agree with Brad, I like this forum because you never know what's gonna show up.

There's always room for Jello, right? Wink

I lurk here a lot more than I post.

I read about 5-6 forums a lot, and feel bored lately with everything that I am reading. I'm trying to find someplace new to visit.

That said, I'm not sure what the heck I want to talk about, so can not post a new topic about it.

I figure that it has to be me. All of the forums have 100's, if not 1000's of viewers and posters.

I find it hard to believe that they are all boring. Therefore, it must be me.

Maybe I should start a thread about nothing. In fact, yes, I will.

Bored? Boredom comes from within...

As far as the Errornet, there's always LawDog's, Tamara's and Kim du Toit's sites. Little boredome there, generally.

Lots of food for thought in the free daily emails such as The Daily Pfennig or The Daily Reckoning. Doug Casey's "What We Now Know" has interesting stuff, as does "Whiskey & Gunpowder". That's if you're at all interested in non-MSM economic views...

What I've noticed can be summed up as: "Everything's already been said." At least on gun-related topics, APS and THR and TFL have rich histories going back years and years, and good serch functions. So practically every position possible has been posted, argued over, and archived.

I don't think we'll ever lack for "breaking news" types of threads as long as the human instinct to control others exists.

Well, at least no one is blaming me this time. I think most of us who've been on this forum for a couple of years are tired of arguing the same points with the same people, and having those arguments misunderstood, ignored, laughed at, and so on and so forth. This isn't my complaint - I'm echoing what I've heard from others.

That's the best part about this forum: IT'S A MESS!!! On a good day you can come here and find all kinds of goings-on. On a bad day, it's just like all the others--boring. C'est la vie.

That's a very biblical way of saying... what are you doing to increase the interest level here? Or are you just expecting to be entertained?
