Just an FYI from an article I caught. Be sure to let Win7 get this update so you're not locked out of future updates.

Microsoft has already decided on the end-of-support dates for Windows 7 users and while it’s a couple of months away, there’s a chance that users could get locked out of Windows Updates soon.
Math fail in the first sentence.
Jan 2020 is a bit more than a couple of months away.

A couple? Is that less than a "couple-few"?
(Guy I work with says "couple-few." I've never heard it from anyone else.)
-
A coupla-few is sorta-kinda like sorta-kinda. To me a couple means two, a "few" is more than that, but not "many,' which is less than "lots."
Beyond that gets you into powers of ten, which can also be linked to a couple or a few.
As in, "a couple of hundred" or "a few thousand."
In the words of Everett Dirksen, "and soon you're talking real money.*"
I am so sick of their updates screwing up other things, so they have to put out an update on that, which screws up other things so they have to put out an update on that, which screws up other things so they have to put out an update on that, which screws up other things, so they have to put out an update on that, which screws up other things so they have to put out an update on that which
Makes a body want to got to a non-MS operating system.

Couple = Two

Couple = Two
IMAO: I would say it as "about two". Using the word "couple" instead of "two" implies some uncertainty. I always used "a few" to mean about 3. Then you move up to several which I always took to mean the 6 to 8 range.

One, two, three, many, lots.

Never have used the word couple to mean anything other than two. Weird that after all these years didn't realize or noticed people using it to mean other than that. I mean how many people are in a couple anyway?

That question is opening a can of worms now-a-days :facepalm:

That's what he said...

I've heard it as "a couple or three" a couple or three times over the years.
