Don't know how this is not illegal.

Something tells me the actual policy will be so full of loop holes that it won't matter. Nothing will change. If anything, I figure it will be used as a bludgeon to punish/fire employees they don't like.

Are they going to get separate examination rooms also? Perhaps they can indicate them with some special signs saying something like "Colored Only."

Hey now, that term is offensive and very hurtful. "People of Color" is acceptable.
I wonder if they will allow people to request someone of their race treat them?

The leftist are ahead of you.
I read the other day about optional "POC only" vaccination sites;

Jim Crow is back and is being embraced by the Democrats, just like last time.
-
'Culturally-sensitive care' is quite the healthcare buzzword these days. I will be interested to see if they try to control the ethnicity of the providers to correspond to the ethnicity of the patients.

Millcreek - does this open hospitals up to liability actions? It just seems like anyone not of the preferred demographic who feels they received inadequate care or prolonged times to get care that they felt negatively affected their health, would have at least a decent case for a lawsuit. Especially if the hospital makes "preferential treatment" a documented mission statement.

Does that mean I should be able to request a health care provider of my own skin tone?
-
Deleted because I had a stroke of wisdom.

Yup. To make it extra obvious (to the savvy), the Democrats have ramped up their "new Jim Crow" accusations against Republicans.

....but, but, but they said the parties switched or something and all the racists were in the R's!!!
Yeah, and Democrats are the ones saying that BS.

We had a dentist on our ship that was a nice average body, but she had short arms. End up with a good head massage. Then we got a dental tech who was well above average. Like halfway through the alphabet. Dental hygiene went way up.

What if someone comes in that's cyanotic? Does their skin color get them preferential treatment?
-
If I may mangle MLKs powerful speech from almost 60 years ago:
I have a dream that one day women will live in a nation where they will not be judged by content of their character but by color of their skin.
I think he would be appalled.
-
To not be racist we must be racist.
MLK is spinning faster every day

"Blue lives matter!" OH, wait....
-
My prediction?
B&W, a teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard, will see a dramatic drop off of patients with private health insurance as those patients find alternatives where they won't have to fret about whether they'll receive top notch care or not, and a corresponding spike in under/uninsured, leading to Harvard crying about how much money they're having to funnel into the hospital to keep it afloat and corresponding demands that the Federal government foot the bill.

I should hope so!

'Culturally-sensitive care' is quite the healthcare buzzword these days . . .
In today's context, now that might produce some unexpected results . . .

Remember, if a skinhead walks in and demands to be treated by a white doctor because he believes that a doctor of his race is superior, that is evil racism.
If a person of another race does exactly the same thing, that is “culturally sensitive care”.
I don’t know why this is so hard for everyone.

Sadly, this is exactly the case.
More proof that the inmates are running the asylum.
