And, is the UK military better or worse than the American military?

If better, how?

If worse, to what measure is it worse because of politically correct dictates of their politicians?

If we are unable to make that statement, by what logic can we then apply the observations of the British military experience to a superior American military?

The point is to test the waters for a potential change in a case where you can see a clear, recent before and after picture.

Are you trying to make a case for the UK military being worse because they allowed homosexuals to serve?  Are they worse now because of gays?  Where they better than the US military fifteen years ago when gays were not allowed to openly serve?

The question is not, "Is the UK military better or worse than the US military" the question is, "Did allowing gays to serve openly have an adverse effect on their military organization?"

"The militaries of several foreign countries allow gay servicemen to perform their duties without any DADT-equivalent policy. They have not suffered any problems or detriments to their forces performance resulting from this. This is an important, and pertinent, piece of information."

You write as if the non-SWPL sub-cultures are in the past tense.  They are very real.  You don't even have to leave the east & left coasts to find them.

Isn't the entire point of this thread that the military *right now* has gay people fighting and dying for their country?  Are they less patriotic or noble because they don't agree with your sexual morality?
