Airline Security Measure that Works

A fine day for Turko-Swedish anti-terror operations.

"Passengers on a Turkish Airlines jet have overpowered a man who tried to hijack their flight from Norway to Istanbul, security sources say...The pilot raised the alarm and police said that when they entered the plane a passenger was sitting on top of the suspect."

Assume they mean to kill you all and act accordingly.

Would-be-hijacker is lucky they didn't just stomp him through the cabin floor.

I would be hard-pressed to accept any body language or moans of submission from such a person, and out of fear for my safety and that of my family/friends I would probably continue a defensive assault until the threat was dead with a broken neck and stomped into a jelly donut incontrovertibly neutralized.

Good for the passengers, but they didn't go far enough.

Maybe they did it on purpose knowing he will be in a Turkish prison once they land.  =D
Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

I would take "death by stomping" over a Turkish prison.
