Duck Commander / Mossberg Partnership

9 shotguns, "2 semiautomatic weapons" and a pistol.

The mossberg site is extremely slow, I suspect the "semiautomatic weapons" (zOMG) are .22 rifles.  Maybe an AR in there.  I can't figure out what this mysterious pistol is though.

Ah, pistol is a 715P, which is a .22LR AR pistol with no buffer tube.

There appears to be an AR-ish looking rifle also, with a model designation of 715.  Also a .22 AR?

I was wondering what "pistol" Mossberg was making and why I had missed it. Now it makes sense.

I wonder if Sy will put up his single shot 22 revolver and go with the "22cal AR pistol" instead.

That would be a hoot.

Also, both of those are Mossberg's crappy .22 AR knockoff.  It's a 702 plinkster in an AR"ish" stock kit.  Controls are not AR standard.

It looks AR-ish, a gun that is being pushed by the top-rated show in the country, whose characters just whupped A&E in the court of public opinion.

Goooood pro-AR normalization for the non-ideological on "assault weapons" (and uninterested in the minutia of gun innards) but pro-Dynasty folks.

I've only seen the show a couple times at my folks house, but each time they show them with (shot)guns, they seem to be Beretta Semi-auto Shotguns.
Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

While I love, love, love my 9200 and 500's, when I was looking at .22 AR's for Robert I was appalled by the Mossberg's.  They had simply taken their Plinkster and slapped AR looking furniture around it. You had to remove impossible to remove screws to disassemble it for cleaning, the controls weren't were the controls are on any other AR rifle.  Overall it was a big ball of suck inside a turd wrapper.   I pass and got him an S&W 15-22 with MBUS sights and magpul stock.   Same controls as any other AR and lots of fun to shoot.
