Woah.

Alfred's line there was brilliant, about the Joker. "Some men aren't looking for anything logical. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn."

Batman Begins wasn't a movie, it was a film. I'm looking forward to this.

Is that Michael Caine I hear?

Hmmm...checking IMDb, it would appear so.

In case you didn't know, Sindawe, Caine was also in Batman Begins, to which this film is the sequel.  Excellent choice, he, except that his accent should really be more upper-crusty.

I'm glad that Hollywood made another attempt at Batman.  I never liked the other film series very much.  Though it is too bad they couldn't get Nicholson to reprise the Joker.  And it looks like Katie Holmes won't be back.   sad   She may be a fruitcake, but she's an attractive one.

She was also not at all believeable to have a position of such seniority in city government.

The voice of The Joker--that sounded a LOT like Billy Bob Thornton.

Worth seeing. The opening scenes in Tibet immediately let you know it's been done by writers and directors of film, not popcorn fluff.

Batman Begins was amazing.
I'm very glad the same Bruce and Alfred are coming back.  Without them it just wouldn't be the same.

I must be hopelessly old-fashioned or something ...

I read the thread title, and was thinking of something with wheels that you pull behind your pickup  rolleyes

IIRC, the Joker is Heath Ledger?

I think people were ripping that on the fanboy sites, but at least from the sound of him, it sounds good. Nicholson might be too old to reprise the role. Might as well dredge up Cesar Romero..

I promise not to duck.

If they keep to the writing of Batman Begins, it also won't be so over-the-top as Nicholson was. It will just be someone who is insane in a more dangerously pathetic sense, probably.

Did you ever dance with the Devil in the pale moonlight?  Wait 'til they get a load o' me.

My wife says Heath Ledger has Joker lips.  I have two responses.

1.  Why are you looking at some other guy's lips?
2.  But Jake Gyllenhall said he had a pretty mouth.

My main complaints about BB are that some of the lines are campy, and that I really don't like Liam Nelson (Despite Schindler's List).  He'll always be a goofy starwars character to me.

As far as TomKat Holmes is concerned, anything she does that isn't related to Dawson's Creek is an improvement, so I can't complain about her role in BB.

I think Cillian Murphy was criminally underutilized.
