I would be a hero to my dog if I built something like this.

That looks like fun.

And a lot of work.

With something other than tennis balls, and a little experimentation to loft items over some intervening buildings (e.g., indirect fire) something like this could be a useful item the next time Antifa gets frisky . . .   >:D

Seren would very likely run to where the ball lands and then look at me as if to say "HEY! Aren't you going to pick this up? I'm not going to do it for you!"

Leos are not really well known for their desire to fetch...

I had a guy come out to train his retriever on our crp prairie grass. He had a similar contraption that launched training dummies by remote control. Mostly I just remember pinching the holy hell out of my finger trying to reload it.

I saw that guy on his youtube channel, which lead me to this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Puo6Vgcbxps

This guy uses .27 nail gun blanks to "hit" a baseball over 700 feet.

I thought this fetching game was supposed to be (A) fun and (B) exercise for the human half of the symbiotic pair as well.

(Me 'n my dogs used to prefer boat bumpers anyhow.)

Just watched it... Neat, but I didn't expect the advertisement for Simplisafe near the end...

Many Youtubers are now taking sponsors because Youtube has been decreasing their payout for views.  Nearly all of the full-time Youtubers I watch have sponsors now.

We picked up one of these a couple months ago.

Our Lab loves it and I think she would run her self to death fetching a tennis ball for me. We keep it by the back door and she will stand and look at it waiting if I try to take her out with out grabbing it. Best $15 I've spent on dog toys in a long time.

^^^We have one of those for the terrier, and he loves it.

At 180MPH, the ball would probably launch when the dog wasn't looking and the dog would just stand there "are you going to throw the ball?".
