tuff guy
« on: August 24, 2012, 06:30:52 PM »
It is much more powerful to seek Truth for one's self.  Seeing and hearing that others seem to have found it can be a motivation.  With me, I was drawn because of much error and bad judgment on my part. Confronting one's own errors and bad judgment is a very life altering situation.  Confronting the errors and bad judgment of others is usually hypocrisy.

What was she, all of 5' 2" and a buck 10, soaking wet?

Yeah, real tough guy.

Surprised he wasn't dealt with in "other ways."  Frankly, it's a negative mark on the male population of that school that it needed to go to court.

It's become socially acceptable again for the guy to beat the girl. Also become socially expected for the girl to monetarily support the guy and do everything for him. Seen way too much such douchebaggery lately...

News flash: kidnapping + assault = prison.

A number of media outlets have been mentioning that this punk is/was a Top Basketball Prospect, implying that this makes his sentence especially tragic.  Boo. Hoo.

I hope he experiences a few more reasons to faint away where he is going.
If there really was intelligent life on other planets, we'd be sending them foreign aid.

Conservatives see George Orwell's "1984" as a cautionary tale.  Progressives view it as a "how to" manual.

My wife often says to me, "You are evil and must be destroyed." She may be right.

Liberals believe one should never let reason, logic and facts get in the way of a good emotional argument.

Reality check.

The guy seemed genuinely amazed that his actions carry "consequences." I guess he's such a basketball star that until now all obstacles have been made to disappear in front of him and he has never had to accept responsibility for anything he's done wrong. He probably thought he was going to get a slap on the wrist and a $25 fine, and get on with his worthless life.

Oh, wait -- cuing Momma to 'splain that he's a good boy who never done no wrong, he's just "misunderstood."

So he was on video slapping the girl around. Then he's on video punking out in the court room. Wonder if this guy will be paranoid for the rest of his life, checking for cameras everywhere he goes.
