That puzzled me, too. I think "IG" is shorthand for InstaGram. Doing a face mask is probably treating herself to a facial -- with mud, or cream, or some sort of glop.

I loved the way she tried to position herself as one of the poor, down-trodden masses. There's a word for people like her, but my grandmother told me I'm not supposed to use such words in mixed company.

Not that I put anything past her, but we should give her the benefit of the doubt. She isn't necessarily complaining that she has to follow ethics rules. A fair reading would suggest that she's complaining about wealthy Congressmen abusing their power to make more money. That she (supposedly) lives hand-to-mouth just makes the complaint more dramatic.

It's really funny to me that she just assumes these poor, stressed-out people are live-tweet-Facebook-YouTubing their visit to the spa. And they have no escape, apparently, from all these mean people on internet.
