The natural suffering of wild animals is real and breathtaking in its enormity, but incredibly little is being done to reduce it. Although many organizations work to preserve ecosystems and biodiversity, few focus on the well-being of individual animals.

Responsible conservationists relieve animal suffering by shooting them.

Looked like even his fellow tritterers thought he was stupid.

Maybe we should let him and the ones who agree with him vollunteer to put the condoms on the brown bears.  Tranquilizers are dangerous so they cannot use them.

And they have to get written consent from the bears first, because HIPPA.

I'm fascinated by those dreadlocks.  How in the heck do you get rid of them?  Cut them close with scissors and then shave your head?

Quote
Directions:1. Lay in a bath and soak your dreads completely for at least 10 minutes.

2. Wash dreadlocks thoroughly with shampoo, and with water as hot as you can safely stand it. This will help melt the wax or whatever greasiness has built up over the years. Do this by working small amounts of shampoo into each section of each dreadlock to get the soap into the middle as much as possible.

3. Rinse

4. Work conditioner into each dreadlock and begin to GENTLY pick each dread out carefully with a metal comb, beginning from the bottom and working your way up to the scalp. This will take a LONG time – but be patient – you will get your hair back.

5. Once you have picked out all of your dreads, condition all of your hair again with a lot of conditioner and allow it to sit in your hair for 5 minutes. This will help repair some of the damage caused by picking.

6. Go to a salon and get yerself a nice new hairstyle!

The bold, brown part is mine and makes the whole idea of dreads sooooo appealing.   [barf]

a friend in HS briefly debated doing dreads. the breaker for her was that you cannot wash your hair until you've completely established the dreads. She (rightly, IMHO) decided that several months without washing her head was not something she could do and remain sane.

also, white people dreads stink to high heaven. The texture of white people hair does not mat like that without extra funk and it never looks as good, either.

I propose that it should be legal to shoot any white person with dreadlocks on sight. Right in the *expletive deleted*ing face.
