Exit fees and taxes.  Fark them, given what we've spent in blood and treasure already.  Time to take off and nuke the site from orbit.

Whatever gets us out quick, RFN, is the right thing.

And never nation-build again.

If a nation-state or tribal/social entity presents itself as a threat, kill it with (nuclear) fire.  Then occupy, sow the earth with salt, and kill the remaining resistance.  Leave.

The end.

Someone should remind that lump of excrement that the United States set him up as President and that even mongrel dogs learn not to bite the hand that feeds them.

After the US/NATO leaves, he should keep his private jet idling at all times ready for a quick take-off.  I suspect his government will end up controlling maybe 30 miles radius of the capital city, and probably not for all that long.  If I was him, I would have an exit plan and hire enough private military contractors to make sure the exfiltration works.

Anyone who expected different from Karzai, knowing his history within the past 40 years in that country, is kidding themselves

I have reached a conclusion regarding every member of this forum.
I no longer respect any of you. I hope the following offends you as much as this thread has offended me:
You are all awful people. I mean this *expletive deleted*ing seriously.

The only reason he's doing this is because we're going along with it and letting him do it.

Kickbacks, anyone?
Trump won in 2016. Democrats haven't been so offended since Republicans came along and freed their slaves.

He needs the cash for the exit plan.

I'll bet he beats us out by a bit. He'll prolly demand a US Army transport to the airport. He doesn't trust the ANP/ANA any more then we do.
