On Youtube "Curating" Gun Channels

Interesting tidbit I picked up yesterday. I was watching a Mrgunsngear video. I usually quit those videos during their "end credits" as it were (except for Garand Thumb's "one last thing"  ) but happened to catch the end of his yesterday.

He was giving alternate locations for his videos, because he said he puts out 2-4 videos per week and Youtube often doesn't post them to his channel. I'm subscribed to his channel and have rarely seen more than one video per week pop up. Going to the alternate sources, sure enough, a bunch of relatively current videos that I didn't see posted to his channel.

Also, Warrior Poet Society constantly talks about possibly being banned "anytime now", and for people to be sure to check out their alternate sites if they disappear from youtube.

It just continues to stun me how big tech is slowly but surely "disappearing" things that they don't agree with while we all just watch it happen. Not that I have any great plan for what to do about it, but censoring information is just scary to me, especially when it's done incrementally,  in the background.

A lot of history channels are having issues with YT now.  I've noticed burred out swastikas in some historical videos so as to not trigger PTSD in a SJW. It's not just guns but pretty much anything that could trigger an SJW. Look at what happen to Ran Paul

The Great War and WW-II channels have started putting videos on other platforms because they've had videos pulled by YT because some SJW was triggered by something that happened 70-100 years ago. They had to put their Battle of Berlin video on another platform.

IIRC a video game company removed the "Confederate flag" from a Civil War game because of SJW complaints.

I have spent the last year watching Youtubers use slang for COVID-19 to avoid Youtube hits.  They don't say the word "pedophile" or "pedo" for some similar reason.  Lately I have heard them say "drape" instead of rape.  I have no idea why.  It hasn't seemed to limit what they are saying, but it does affect how they say it. 

GunTubers can't touch or handle guns on livestreams on YouTube.  I see a lot of non-gun channels do more livestreams in the last year as Youtube chokes ad revenue from everyone it seems, but not as many gun channels. 

So far, I haven't noticed not seeing videos, but I will have to check out Mrgunsngear's website to double check.
