Free Front Sight Certificates.....
« on: June 23, 2007, 09:10:36 PM »
I know this is legit, as I have already received my certificate in the mail. Front Sight is giving away certificates for their four day courses, and all you have to do is post their links on your personal or business web site, and agree to keep them up for three years. These certificates don't expire, by the way, and are valued at $2000.

Here is a link to the details...

Holy crap, that's a buttload of links you have to host for Iggy.  I don't know if I have enough space on my blog, I'd have to delete everything else!   shocked

Is this for real?

Where can I find complete terms and conditions?

Yeah, I thought it was a little suspicious, but I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a try, and it came through. when you think about, it's a brilliant marketing move. folks who go through training courses like this tend to want to train even more, to build on the skills they've learned, and what does he lose? If folks use the certs, he possibly gets future money from them, plus the word of mouth both from the generous free training offer, as well as graduates talking to friends and the free advertising on the web. How many people will see his links this year, if just 100 people take advantage of this? X3, plus referrals from those people...For the price of a ream of paper, and a few courses which are already run at a big profit....

I look forward to reports of the quality of their training programs.

The only reports I've been able to read were written more than a year ago, or refer to training received more than a year ago.

Something more current will be most interesting.

That's basically what I did.  Blogspot.com (Google relative) gives you a free account.

FYI, Front Sight also has a similar deal with the GOA.  Buy a GOA lifetime membership ($500) and get a FS training certificate.

You know, if it wasn't for you Fjolnirsson, I would have bet large sum's of money on this being a scam.  Call me cynical, but I'm having a hard time believing any company can give away training valued at $2000.

I take your word for it, and Dr. Piazza has emailed with me about it, but in my experience there is no free lunch.  It seems too good to be true.

I can imagine it being true.

I took a free 2 day class there a few years ago.

Soak up the training, ignore the sales pitch. You'll have fun. Wink

I fully plan to have fun.  It still will be an expensive trip (airfare, hotel, food, car, ammo) but I think it will be well worth it.

And my fiancee has expressed interest!  She is getting a cert for free training as well. YAY!

I know exactly what you mean. I felt the same, until I had the certificate in my hands. I'm still a little skeptical, but I do have that certificate on the counter in my kitchen, so....

The way I see it, Piazza is working to build something very few companies understand today. Customer loyalty. If you have some extra cash for training, where do you spend it, the school you've been to and had a great time at, and who gave you free training already, or a school you've heard good things about but have no prior experience with?

Mine, too.

I should be getting one from the GOA, as well, for buying a life membership a few years ago.
