Why tears are flowing at the EPA

Trump wants to cut the EPA's workforce by 50%.

Me:

Some days even my lucky rocketship underpants won't help.

Bring me my Broadsword and a clear understanding.
Get up to the roundhouse on the cliff-top standing.
Take women and children and bed them down.
Bless with a hard heart those that stand with me.
Bless the women and children who firm our hands.
Put our backs to the north wind.
Hold fast by the river.
Sweet memories to drive us on,
for the motherland.

  • I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

their tears should be protected wetlands so we can fine them [popcorn]
Politicians and bureaucrats are considered productive if they swarm the populace like a plague of locust, devouring all substance in their path and leaving a swath of destruction like a firestorm. The technical term is "bipartisanship".

I'm thinking about the reactions of the Federal staffers  when Trump's and Pence's official portraits go up on the walls of federal facilities.

Will they draw moustaches and horns on them?  Will they affix red tails to come out the backs of the pictures?

Anyone know fer sure when those portraits will be mounted?  I can't wait for the fallout.

"Rev, your picture is in my King James Bible, where Paul talks about "inventors of evil."  Yes, I know you'll take that as a compliment."  - Fistful, possibly highest compliment I've ever received.

About half the EPA’s budget passes through to state and local governments for infrastructure projects and environmental cleanup efforts that Ebell said Trump supports. He said the cuts would likely fall on the remaining half the agency’s budget, which pays for agency operations and environmental enforcement.
Most of the air quality regulations are mature and enforced at the state level where I am.  Clean water is probably more local.  They need to cut everyone dealing with global warming, CO2 regulations, and dumping heavy metals into rivers and streams.

The least I can say is the highest praise I can say:

"lol"

Beyond that would be superfluous.

The EPA has done nothing but support Atrazine, which continues to be widely used despite questionable evidence of it being a public health risk.  Not sure what your point is.  That the EPA's ongoing approval of Atrazine use is one of its recent successes?

Remember, this is the same organization that wanted to outlaw cow flatulence, and which considers ponds on private property as "protected inland waterways".

Let em cry. A lot. They need a stiff dose of reality - plus a boot or ten up the arse - for the outlandishly dumb crap they seem entirely too capable of visiting on the rest of us.

They didn't bend to pressure to deregistered it (make it unlawful to use as a herbicide). Actually did some real science to prove many claims were unfounded.
