It can be its own defender.

I have to say, though. That's a pretty terrible way to die- trapped in someone else's home, being crushed by a 900 pound safe. Just one of the many risks (even if a low probability one) that a life of crime brings.

Why do I suspect that there are going to be a bunch of survivor lawsuits coming from his family?
